How Does Testosterone Replacement Therapy Work?

Renew Medispa treats men and women who suffer with testosterone deficiencies using natural testosterone replacement therapy. We primarily use testosterone pellets which are is bio-identical and made using a botanical source (not synthetic). This natural testosterone therapy enters the body in its natural molecular form without disrupting normal physiology, unlike synthetic hormones. Most men can have this 15 minute procedure done about every 5 to 6 months.

Why Use Pellets?

When natural testosterone therapy is administering using testosterone pellets, the treatment delivers consistent levels of testosterone, which avoids the fluctuations seen with other methods of artificial hormone therapy.

The Process for Natural Testosterone Therapy:

Your initial consultation with Renew MediSpa will consist of a review of your symptoms, desired outcome, and health history. There is a $75 fee associated with your consultation that may later be applied toward your procedure. Lab work will be ordered and applied to your medical insurance.

Dr. Vuich will review your lab work. Your dosage will be calculated and your personal pellet implant will be tailored just for you.

We will schedule and appointment for your testosterone pellet insertion. On the day of your appointment, local anesthetic will be administered to the treatment area. Your testosterone pellet will then be inserted through a tiny 5 mm incision in the upper buttock or flank area. We will then apply a bandage over the incision. The procedure is incredibly brief, and it will feel relatively painless.

Within two weeks you will likely begin to experience symptoms relief.

At a future date we may re-check your blood levels to see if they are in the target range. After that, you will be prescribed a regular treatment regimen.

Note: We are not able to bill your insurance. Upon request, we are happy to provide documentation of your procedure if you wish to pursue possible reimbursement through programs like a Flex Spending account or Health Savings account. If you think you have low testosterone, we encourage you to first speak with your primary care provider to rule out other illnesses and to determine if your treatment might be covered by your insurance. If not, then do feel free to contact us!
