to Minimal Downtime.

"Who said 'growing old gracefully' meant 'doing nothing'? Regenerative procedures restore collagen that has been lost due to many factors such as age, sun exposure and lifestyle. We are in essence 'softening the blows' of ageing, and this contributes to us looking and feeling our best which has been shown to improve mood, confidence and quality of life." - Lisa Vuich, MD

What is Collagen
and why do we lose it?

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body. It primarily acts as structural support for your organs such as skin, tendon, muscle, ligament and bones. As we age the collagen production in our body declines. This can lead to issues such as stiff or sore joints and weak bones. For skin, collagen loss is seen in the form of thinning skin, fine lines and wrinkles and skin laxity (looseness). Cells in our bodies called fibroblasts are responsible for making collagen, but they start slowing down in our late 20’s. For some the decrease in production progresses slowly, but for others it is more rapid. The skin begins to lose firmness and to show the evidence of this with fine lines, wrinkles and sagging. Many variables contribute to the rate at which we are losing collagen, including: age (it gets faster as we get older), hormonal shifts, ethnicity and genetics, smoking history, sun exposure, physical/mechanical stress, emotional stress, nutrition (vitamin or mineral deficiencies and excess sugar consumption speed it up), hydration status and the quality of your skin care regimen.

Witness the power of combination therapy!

This client had one session of Sofwave Full Face and Neck, followed by one Morpheus8 Full Face and Neck.

Yearly maintenance treatments would be recommended to maintain her results.

New for 2025: QuantumRF

Morpheus8 has long been a patient favorite for smoothing and firming the skin, targeting the upper 5–6mm of facial tissue to remodel collagen and improve skin quality. But for deeper, more structural tightening—especially along the jawline and neck—we take your results to the next level with QuantumRF.

QuantumRF uses a specialized handpiece on the same advanced platform as Morpheus8, but it’s designed to penetrate multiple centimeters into the tissue. Think of it as “Deep Morpheus8”—able to:

  • Contract deeper tissue for a lifted, more defined jawline

  • Target stubborn fat beneath the skin for lasting contour

  • Deliver single-session results that can last for years

Together, Morpheus8 and QuantumRF create a layered, synergistic treatment that refines the skin on the surface while sculpting from within—without the need for surgery.

Morpheus8 also does a GREAT job smoothing and tightening loose skin on the body!

We've Got You Covered!

Morpheus8 is a procedure which delivers heat to the deeper skin structures through specialized micropins. It can be used on nearly any body area and can additionally be used to remodel (dissolve) targeted areas of unwanted fat cells. Heat can be delivered up to 8 mm in depth depending on the body region being treated. Due to the microneedling component and the amount of energy delivered, there will be some variable downtime with Morpheus8 procedures.

Sofwave is a completely non-invasive treatment which does not involve needles and also, notably, does NOT have any downtime. It delivers heat that is generated by concentrated ultrasound waves, but that heat goes to a single depth of 1.5 mm. It is a powerful smoothing and tightening device, with 7 FDA indications and great results as you can see from our before and after photos. Both Sofwave and Morpheus8 are recommended to be done more than once in order to achieve the desired results, unless you are doing them “preventatively” or as a maintenance procedure. Both of these services are safe for darker skin types.  We are happy to consult with you to help you create the treatment plan best suited to your needs.

We offer free consultations for exactly this reason! We will help you sort through and prioritize your concerns and goals, your personal preferences, your tolerance for downtime, and how soon you need to see results in order to help guide you towards the procedure(s) most likely to give you the “Wow” results you are looking for. We offer both comprehensive ‘head to toe’ consultations, or you may opt for a more limited consultation specific to a particular region or concern.

This really requires an assessment of your particular anatomy. We will examine the degree of skin laxity and textural issues and whether there is unwanted fat in the region such as under the chin or at the jawline/jowl zones. Sofwave is great at smoothing and tightening but it cannot affect the fat, whereas Morpheus 8 and Precision Tx with or without targeted liposuction will address the fat cells. Sometimes, the degree of looseness is such hat it calls for a minimally invasive tightening procedure where the doctor uses a thin laser or RF probe under the skin to perform a deeper internal tightening. We do not perform surgery, but the breadth of technology we have at Renew allows us the opportunity to get the beautiful outcomes you see in our photos! A free consultation is your best plan to understand which options would have the highest liklihood of success for you.

Not at all! There is no age at which fibroblast skin cells stop responding to injury, though they may take longer to do so. Older skin will have more collagen loss, which will also potentially impact the number of treatments you will need to achieve your desired result. For those who are younger, starting collagen stimulating procedures early will help protect the collagen you have and restore what you would have otherwise lost due to the ageing process.

It is not feasible to list all of the costs of all of the various procedures available to restore lost collagen. We are happy to provide pricing information in person or by phone if you have a specific procedure in mind, or at the time of a consultation if you are considering multiple treatment options.

At home micro-needling is a tricky business. First of all, there is the challenge of keeping your instrument free of bacteria which is not easy. Second, many of the marketed micro-needling rollers have poor quality needles and can actually cause more damage and scarring. The results if any achieved with home devices do not come close to what can be achieved with true medical grade devices which also employ single use sterile tips to ensure both safety and ideal needle condition at every single treatment. Having this service done at a medical spa which also has platelet rich plasma preparation available can also significantly boost your results per procedure.

There is no “one best” skin care regimen. In general, some of the most helpful active ingredients will include anti-oxidants such as Vitamin C, a high grade Retinol, and Sun Protection. There are many different “actives” that are botanical as well. Based on your skin type and skin condition we can help you to design a program that makes the most sense for you and your goals. Ask about our ‘Recommended Skin Care’ sheets which educate about our most popular skin care products based on skin problems and concerns- those are a great starting point.

Using what’s known as fractional laser resurfacing, the SmartSkin laser treats the skin in “micro-columns”. Each treatment micro column receiving the precise amount of laser energy needed to vaporize the aged skin, while also stimulating new collagen growth from the surrounding untreated skin. Over time, this will build up the support structures (collagen and elastin) of your skin resulting in a younger and smoother looking appearance. This fractionated approach to laser skin resurfacing is substantially safer than the older CO2 laser devices which were often used in a ‘fully ablative’ mode which was effective BUT had increased risk of scarring and infection.
