Minimally Invasive Skin Tightening and Lipolysis
Very small entry points are created which allow the passage of a thin cannula to instill the numbing solution. The skin tightening fiber is also quite thin. Some patients fall asleep during the procedure due to the comfort medications prescribed. A precise amount of energy is delivered to the target areas to stimulate both skin tightening and laser lipolysis. Lipolysis is the direct breakdown of fat cells which come into contact with the heat emitted by the device. The remnants of the destroyed cells are then removed by the body gradually over time via the lymphatic system.
Targeted Liposuction
If indicated- for areas with greater fat cell bulk, Dr. Vuich can also manually or mechanically aspirate disrupted cells from one or more regions using our power-assisted Microaire liposuction station.
Simple Recovery
The entry points do not even require sutures! They are closed with a steri-strip and a compression wrap is applied which you will wear at home for he first 48 hours, then at bedtime only for a week or two. Twice a week lymphatic massage will speed the resolution of any swelling and will further enhance the smoothness of your result. The garment helps to reduce swelling and promote ideal healing of the region.
Long Lasting Results
In adults, fat cells which have been removed do not regenerate. If your weight remains stable the double chin cannot “return”. The skin tightening effect is very long lasting as well. It can take as long as 5+ years for you to lose enough collagen, through the aging process, to see loose skin in the region return. Your rate of collagen loss is determined by things such as age, genetics, lifestyle, and sun exposure.
