Take Control of your Pleasure with FemiWave®
Childbirth, age related changes and menopause can all lead to difficulty climaxing, which may decrease sexual satisfaction in women. However, studies have also shown that adult women of all ages and sexual orientations, even newlyweds, can experience difficulty achieving orgasm. Renew MediSpa is proud to offer FemiWave®, a simple in- office procedure that uses low-intensity pulse waves to restore sensation and natural lubrication to vaginal tissues. Pain-free, no numbing required, and no post procedure restrictions are highlights of this remarkable procedure designed to restore lost function to feminine tissues. FemiWave® has additional potential benefits of enhancing arousal and improving stress incontinence, and in clinical studies it also reduced pain in women suffering from vulvodynia- a chronic pain condition involving the opening of the vagina.

A Breakthrough Solution for Women’s Sexual Health
Low Intensity Shockwave therapy has been used for decades to rejuvenate tissue in many medical specialties such as Orthopedics, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Burn and other wound healing, and many others. Numerous clinical studies have demonstrated its benefit in restoration of healthy tissue and improved blood flow to the treatment regions. Its application to female sexual function has likewise shown it to be quite successful, and without significant risk or side effects. We also offer FemiWave® combined with PRP Injection (the O-Shot) for women with more advanced symptoms.

FAQs FEMIWAVE
- No, there are no restrictions post procedure.
- No numbing is required. A slight stinging sensation can sometimes be felt, but overall the procedure is quite comfortable.
- You can begin to notice benefit after even one session, but a series of 6 sessions is recommended. The sessions can be performed every 7 to 10 days.
- Once you have achieved your desired result, expect to do a session or two about every twelve months. This will vary of course from patient to patient depending on the severity of tissue breakdown at the onset of treatment, and individual variation in tissue collagen response.
- Clinical studies have shown low intensity shockwave therapy to be safe and without significant side effects for women treated for a variety of gynecologic concerns.
- Femiwave is not recommended for women who are pregnant or actively trying to become pregnant. It should also not be performed if there is an active infection in the treatment zone (until the infection has cleared).
Disclaimer: Individual results will vary by person and are based upon patient variables (such as genetics, age and lifestyle), the severity of the condition before the procedure, the procedure(s) chosen, and compliance with any recommended aftercare program.
