Dr. Vuich participated on the expert panel for the “Call for Clinical Collaboration” on Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP).
Specialty Med Training and PRP Science are leading companies who are working to advance the field of regenerative medicine. The “Call for Clinical Collaboration” included a multispecialty panel of expert scientists and physicians recognized as “thought leaders” in Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). In the last five (5) years, interest in PRP has soared but standardization of treatment dose has lagged behind. Development of “Standard of Care” guidelines is a necessary step to raise the bar on the quality of the services delivered, as well as the results of the procedures.
Not all PRP is equal. Many of the devices being used today produce PRP doses that do not
even meet the scientific definition of “Platelet Rich Plasma.” This means that many are
not consistently producing PRP with the necessary cellular components to achieve the desired tissue healing and regeneration. The expert panel will peel back the layers of confusion and controversy surrounding the use of PRP and arm interested attendees with the knowledge necessary to make the best business and clinical decisions if deciding to add these treatment options to their practices.
The panelist line-up included:
Peter A. Everts, PhD– Known as the “Father of PRP, Everts has dedicated his career to the research, specifically the scientific study of autologous biologics.
Joseph Banno, MD, board certified urologist, who in over the 30+ years of treating sexual dysfunction in men and women, developed a combined treatment protocol utilizing PRP, shockwave and hormone therapy that has had overwhelming success as a surgical alternative.
Lisa Vuich, MD, anti-aging and regenerative expert and founder of Renew MediSpa and the Renew MediSpa Training Institute in Windham, NH. Dr. Vuich is the Chief Physician Liason to Bridging Biosciences and the founding physician member of their advisory board. Bridging Biosciences has developed a trademarked protocol designed to deliver proven therapeutic concentrations of platelets with customized dosing of individual PRP therapy.
